Cabinet Meeting Room, Churchill War Rooms
The Meeting Room, part of the Churchill Cabinet War Rooms. The room was where the Prime Minister and his key ministers and advisors would meet with the heads of the army, navy and air force to make decisions that would shape the course of the entire war. The Cabinet Meeting Room looks the way it would have done just before the meeting scheduled for 5pm on October 15, 1940. Bomb blast damage to No. 10 Downing Street the night before had given further reason for making use of the underground facility.
